It all started in 1989,
Madam Lim has been baking cookies for her friends and loved ones from her little home kitchen in Pontian, Johor. Gradually, through word-of-mouth, the reputation of her delicious homemade specialties spread around, and orders for her cookies came rolling in from places as far away as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru.
Incorporated in 1991,
Strongly encouraged by the positive, Madam Lim set up a company known as Ling's Homemade Cookies in 1991 to meet the growing demand for her cookies. Madam Lim's cookies were so famous that it soon gained the attention of major confectioneries in Malaysia and Singapore. With the opportunity given, the company gradually transformed itself into a business that focuses on providing contract manufacturing (OEM) services to renowned confectioneries in Singaproe and Malaysia.
Our unwavering faith and whole-hearted dedication to the production and marketing of quality and finest confectionery has prompted us to move on from a manually-handled manufacturing facility to a professionally-run and technology driven facilities. In line with our marketing and expansion plan to overseas markets, we have undertaken a rebranding exercise. A brand new corporate identity we formed with the name of The Cookies Factory Sdn Bhd. This identity injects a new vitality to the company's overall image as well as instilling a fresh approach to its customers. It promotes high level of consistency and reliability while continue to bake with the same passion as the core basic of the business.
Rebranding in 2006,
Relocation in 2008,
In meeting the growing demands from clients, The Cookies Factory relocated from a small shop house unit to a new state-of-the-art plant. At the same time, semi-automation facilities were introduced into the new factory to scale up the production capabilities.
Accreditation in 2009,
The Cookies Factory successfully obtained HALAL certificate by Malaysia Halal Development Corporation. In the same year, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) For Food certification we also awarded to the company by renowned certification body, Moody International.



Export in 2011,
Under private label trade, our products were exported to Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and New Zealand.
Diversification in 2013,
The company has undertaken a corporate diversification strategy. From being a pure OEM manufacturing business, we took upon a new challenge to reach out to the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market by introducing 3 new brand portfolios including Skinnie, Jaree, and Town 82K.
